July 27: Julia Moskin in Conversation with Novelist Caitlin Macy
In her long, wide-ranging career as a New York Times Food reporter, Julia Moskin has spotted trends (funfetti, Korean fried chicken); exposed the use of ghostwriters by celebrity cookbook authors; led the investigation into sexual harassment at The Spotted Pig and other New York restaurants; and profiled everyone from Paula Deen to Ina Garten. Her investigation into the finances of the James Beard Foundation led to the resignation of its entire board of trustees. Currently she’s considering the best recipes for kitchen classics in her video column, “Recipe Lab.” She will be speaking with Caitlin Macy, a noted novelist and short story writer, and a lively interviewer.
