Aug 24: Jay Boberg: « Viens Avec Nous » A Wine-Tasting Journey

After a brilliant career as a music promoter and record producer of big name bands and later, as president of Universal/MCA Music Publishing and MCA Records, Boberg decided in his fifties to pursue his other passion: wine-making. Together with winemaker Jean-Nicolas Méo, an old friend and owner of Domaine Méo-Camuzet in Burgundy, he founded the now-famous Nicolas Jay Vineyards in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, using the old vines found there and employing time-tested French methods to create a superb Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. While Boberg tells the story of how he and Méo accomplished this, the audience will be treated to a tasting of some fantastic Oregon wines.
